Fall in Vermont

The colors were beautiful this year and we snuck in a few hikes where we really got to enjoy them.

Here are some recent photos of the kids. Sylvia had a full calendar with two Halloween parties where she danced her costume off bobbed for quite a few apples.

September Happenings

September has been busy. School is in full swing, the temperature is dropping, Blueberry and blackberry season came and went, foliage season is upon us and the kids have both made big developmental leaps. Oakes has learned to crawl and is now getting into everything. Sylvia is done with nighttime pullups. Justin and I are actually finding time to do things again and all of us are looking forward to a long white winter. Here are some pictures and videos of life in the Walker/ Chapman household.Sorry that I don't know how to turn video clips.

Trip to the Adirondack house

We had a great time in the Adirondacks. The house looks awesome.  The weather was pretty good and the deer flies weren't that bad. There were of course the usual scrabble games and lots of great food. We went to the State Park near by and enjoyed a day at the beach, and hot showers. Justin added a new trail to the property and we can now go out and enjoy a 20 minute loop right from the house. The beavers appear to be back so perhaps the water level will rise again. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Awesome idea!

Kerry! this is so cool. I have been wanting to start a blog for a while, now I can learn about it here. We're back in the real world after the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken—islands, snorkeling, sailing, fresh orange juice....And old San Juan was amazing, too!

Jeff has our honeymoon pics on his computer, and we've only gotten a few wedding images from friends, but I'll definitely post them when we get them.

Thanks for everything! It was awesome to see you all, meet Oakes, and chill out here in Colorado!

Yo, yo... you want some of this?  I didn't think so.

How did Sylvia get so lippy?

Look of the blog

I'm still playing with the appearance of the page. Feel free to try some things out and/or give suggestions.
Great, I'm glad you like the idea. In case you didn't figure it out WWKC=Wilday, Walker, Kocis, Chapman.

The Adirondack house pictures are awesome. I love the floor and can't wait to see it when it is done.

Jeff and Rachel, I hope you had a nice, relaxing vacation and that you are willing to share some pictures.

First week of "summer vacation"

So, I don't know if this will work for our family but I thought I would try it out. Like most modern families in the United States, members of our family live all over the place and we are all busy. Because of this, many of us feel pretty disconnected. I am spending the first week of summer vacation in a technology course and have been learning all about blogs, wikis, web pages etc. After viewing someone elses family blog and hearing how it has brought his family closer together, I thought I would start one for us. Feel no pressure to post, if this forum doesn't work for you that is ok. I would really love to know more about what is going on in everyone's life though so maybe give it a try. Hope to hear from many of you soon.

This is a test

Testing, testing
